In 2007 we wanted to put internet on the family farm, but no operator would give us service. So we looked for a way to do it for us and our neighbours.
Today we provide service all over the Balearic Islands, including the island of Cabrera. We have installed internet in more than 25,000 homes.
How does our rural internet reach your home?
In the same way as we do with IB3. I'll tell you:
IB3 wanted to broadcast the weather in real time on the news.
So we install cameras in mountains, places with good views, and we send the signal to the IB3 newsroom with the same internet system that we will install in your house.

Isn't this connection a bit more expensive?
It is possibly more expensive than fibre optic connections.
Don't feel obliged to contract our service. Especially if fibre optic comes to your rural home. Fibre optic is always the best option.
There is also no need for our rural internet system if you don't really need to have quality internet, for example if you only use it to read the newspaper or answer Whatsapp.
This connection is for users who make more use of the internet, such as watching movies online, watching videos on Youtube, connecting more than one computer or mobile device at the same time, having wifi in outdoor areas...
Does it have permanence?
Para asegurar la calidad de todas nuestras conexiones, tenemos un número limitado de clientes por repetidor.
Por eso, el internet rural está sujeto a un periodo de permanencia de 9 meses.
Las plazas disponibles se van asignando por orden de inscripción.
How is the support service in case of an incident?
A great question we should ask to all our suppliers.
You can contact my technical support colleagues by phone or email directly. You state the reason for the call and a manager will contact you. We talk person to person, directly.
Technical support hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 21:00 and Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 9:00 to 19:00. Outside these hours you can send us your query and we will call you first thing in the morning.
¿Cuáles son las condiciones de las plazas limitadas en la tarifa de 60 Megas?
- Avalamos la recepción de los 60 megas, limitamos los usuarios por repetidor.
- Las conexiones inalámbricas requieren parámetros especiales, por eso hemos tomado esta medida.
- En algunos repetidores, hasta que no haya una baja, no damos altas nuevas de 60Mb.
- Consulta disponibilidad en tu zona.
Can I try it out?
Customers who sign up for this service do not need to test.
It is the technician himself who, on the day of installation, checks the measurement parameters on site and confirms that it is working properly.
If the speed received is the speed you want to contract, the technician will install. If we cannot offer that speed, the technician will not install.
Is there a registration and installation cost?
Ahora el coste de alta + instalación del servicio es gratuito.
Una vez terminado la promoción actual, el precio de alta + instalación será de 49€.
Is a landline required?
No. It is not compulsory, however, this service is available for €1 per month.
What does the installation consist of?
- ib-red technicians install a low-visual impact reception antenna on the roof of the house. This is a white box of a size similar to a piece of paper (24x20 cm).
- They bring the cable from the receiver into the house.
- They connect the cable to a Wifi router or directly to your computer.
How many megabytes uploads do you have?
El servicio de 7 megas de bajada cuenta con una subida de 2 megas. El servicio de 30 megas de bajada cuenta con una subida de 4 megas. El servicio de 60 megas de bajada cuenta con una subida de 6 megas.
You can contract extra upload megabytes for 5€/month.

I already have a wifi router. Is it compulsory to buy the ib-red router?
All routers are compatible with IB-RED, except for those from other operators that are intentionally encrypted to make them incompatible.
Ask our technical team if you can use the one you already have. If you do not have a compatible router, we can install and configure one for you for 35€ VAT included.
What happens once I fill in the form?
Una vez rellenes el formulario con tus datos, mis compañeros del departamento de atención al cliente analizarán la disponibilidad de internet en tu zona.
Con ese dato te llamarán y te preguntarán acerca de tus necesidades de internet, cuántas personas os conectáis en tu casa y qué uso le dais.
Así, ya estamos en condiciones de recomendarte la mejor opción de internet en función de tu ubicación y tu uso. Después, eliges lo que más te convence, sin prisas.
