      Frequently Asked Questions

      Fibre Optic offers symmetric connections with the same number of upload and download capacity. For example, when contracting the 100 Megas package you will get 100 Megas for uploading and 100 for downloading.

      No. ib-red Fibre Optics is not subject to any contract or continuity period.

      No. It is not obligatory. However, if you are interested, this product includes this service for free. Unlimited calls to national mobiles and landlines. You can keep your current house phone number, or we can provide you with a new one.

      No. We use our own fibre optic network, deployed by ib-red and maintained by our team, all of whom live on the Balearic Islands.

      This is beneficial for users, who do not have to pay a monthly landline fee (which is common in other operators). Set-up time is now shorter and customer care is handled directly by ib-red, dealing with both administrative and technical procedures in order to streamline all contact between customers and ib-red.

      Administration processes are much simpler, and there is no need to waste time in call centres of multinational operators, which can be despairing.

      We have a telephone helpline from 9 am to 9 pm Monday to Friday, and on saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 9 am to 2 pm and then 4 pm to 7 pm.

      And, according to the latest statistics, the average time to resolve incidents in homes is 24 hours. We’re always trying to reduce times.

      The helpline is a local 971 number, while the whole ib-red team lives on the Balearic Islands and therefore knows the region well.
