This device is installed in areas where Wi-Fi coverage is weak or in \u201cdark\u201d areas where the Internet signal does not reach. It connects to the main router via a network cable.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\" class=\"translation-block\">Advantages: The Access Point receives the signal through the network cable, therefore the bandwidth will be the same as you have on the main router. There is no loss of speed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\" class=\"translation-block\">Disadvantages: You have to run cables in the house to get from the router to the access point. It is not recommended for lovers of interior design or aesthetics... unless you have conduits to run the cables to the different rooms.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\" class=\"translation-block\">2. PLC: This device extends internet coverage within your home in a simple way, taking advantage of the existing electrical wiring.<\/p>\n<p>As\u00ed de f\u00e1cil, a trav\u00e9s de la corriente el\u00e9ctrica de tu casa. Por ejemplo, si tienes el router en el sal\u00f3n y la se\u00f1al no llega a una habitaci\u00f3n, puedes llevarla a trav\u00e9s de los enchufes para tener all\u00ed m\u00e1s cobertura.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ventajas:<\/strong> Es una opci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica y r\u00e1pida (plug and play) para aumentar cobertura en una habitaci\u00f3n. Es id\u00f3neo, sobretodo, para empresas que tienen varias mesas de trabajo y necesitan la m\u00e1xima capacidad de internet debido a las caracter\u00edsticas de los trabajos que realizan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inconvenientes: <\/strong>Tiene un precio m\u00e1s elevado, ya que ha de ser instalado por profesionales. Y en el caso de no contar con conductos escondidos para cables, estos tendr\u00e1n que quedar a la vista o escondidos en canaletas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. <\/strong><strong>Switch o conmutador:<\/strong> Amplia f\u00e1cilmente tu red de cable, al conectar varios elementos directamente dentro de una red. Es decir, permite tener m\u00e1s equipos conectados directamente por cable. Vendr\u00eda a ser lo que el ladr\u00f3n es para la electricidad.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ventajas<\/strong>: Es muy \u00fatil para empresas con varios puestos de trabajo. La se\u00f1al de internet llega directamente por cable y no pierde se\u00f1al, como ocurre si se env\u00eda por se\u00f1al digital.
